Frankfurter Buchmesse 2021 – Let’s re:connect!

The world’s most important marketplace for printed and digital content in the publishing and media industry is back. The Frankfurter Buchmesse opens its doors from October 20-24, 2021 with the motto “Let’s re:connect”.

We are particularly pleased that we are able to present you all our new publications and current projects on site and in person. You can find us in

HALL 3.1/ BOOTH H122

For the time being we don’t want to reveal too much, but there are very special fine art facsimile editions waiting for you. Last year we could only present our new releases online, but that will change this year. Two exceptionally high-quality manuscripts are waiting to be picked up and admired:

open book showing trumping angels, from The Morgan Library & Museum in New York, MS M.133; Paris, around 1410The Berry Apocalypse

Around 1410, one of the most fascinating manuscripts of the 15th century was created in Paris by an artist only known as the master of his greatest work of art: the Berry Apocalypse, which is now being published for the first time as a perfect, true-to-the-original Fine Art Facsimile Edition.

Folio showing Blanche de Castillo prayingThe Royal Psalter of Sainte-Chapelle

Rich gold attachments, beautiful ornaments, innovative drolleries, masterly decorated miniatures: the Royal Psalter, created for Blanche de Castille, the mother of King Louis the Saint, bears witness of a great wealth thanks to its brillant colours.

In addition, we remain true to our maxim “in the service of tradition and innovation”. With our latest project Medieval Art Stories we want to provide a broader and younger audience an easy access to medieval art in general, and book art in particular. We achieve this on the one hand through informative content that is presented in a casual and interesting way and on the other hand through our modern presence in social networks such as Instagram and YouTube.

But that’s not all, because we have some more news in store for you. The best thing to do is just drop by our booth! Together with our partner the Faksimile Verlag and our Spanish friends Eikon Editores we look forward to welcome you in Frankfurt and to re:connect!
