Feria Internacional del Libro (FIL 2023)
The Feria Internacional del Libro (FIL) – the International Book Fair of Guadalajara – is considered the most important literature festival in Iberoamerica and is the second largest book fair in the world after the Frankfurt Book Fair. It was founded 37 years ago by the Universidad de Guadalajara and is both a trade and public fair.
German Pavilion in Mexico
This year’s book fair took place from 25 November to 3 December 2023 and was very well attended during these nine days. Incorporated into the German Pavilion and together with our friends from Faksimile Verlag and Eikon Editores, it was a great pleasure to be part of this special book fair, sharing our expertise and presenting our latest facsimile editions to an interested audience.
Guest of Honour: the European Union
As this year’s Guest of Honour was the European Union, we were also integrated into the supporting programme and the embassy reception at the stand was particularly successful. It is our aim as cultural ambassadors to pass on our cultural heritage in its most beautiful form – book art – to bibliophiles, academics, and experts, and we certainly achieved this objective in Guadalajara!
