An Inspiring Destination
For the second time, we were part of the International Book Fair in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, delighting a very interested audience with our unique fine art facsimile editions. The book fair took place from 28 September 28 to October 7, 2023 in the new location at King Saud University under the title “An Inspiring Destination”, which we can only confirm.
Chess connects
We look back on eleven intensive days at the fair and we are pleased that our manuscripts were so well received. Our merchandising articles, among others, were particularly popular. Once again, the designer chess board from Treccani proved to be an eye-catcher and one game after the other was played at our stand.
German Unity Day in Riyadh
In addition, we had the opportunity to present our publishing house at the German Embassy in Riyadh during the celebrations on German Unity Day. It was a special honour for us to present a fine facsimile single page of the “Blue Qur’an” as a guest gift to the Emir of Saudi Arabia in the presence of the German Ambassador Michael Kindsgrab. The reception was very well attended, and we enjoyed the dialogue and conversation with international delegations and invited guests.
In summary, we can say that we return with positive impressions from an Arab country that is opening up increasingly. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Riyadh.
